Elena Sancho Pereg Biography
Born in San Sebastián, Spain, Elena graduated in Opera and Zarzuela from Real Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid in 2007, studying with Ramón Regidor and Jorge Robaina, among others.
In the following years, she completed the One year Master of Performance and the Two years Opera Course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Her studies have been kindly supported by the Guildhall Trust, Juventudes Musicales de Madrid, Diputación de Guipúzcoa and Fundación Lartundo. Scholar 2010 in the Samling Foundation.
Actually in D.O.R. (Düsseldorf-Duisburg), her most recent engagements include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Sophie in Den Rosen Kavalier, Norina in Don Pasquale, Olympia in Les Contes de Hoffmann, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Gilda in Rigoletto, Sophie in Werther, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Adina in L’Elissir d’Amore among others.
In Musical Theatre, she has been María in West Side Story in the main theaters of Germany, France and U.K. with great success.
On the Oratory platform, she performed many german and italian classical and baroque masterpieces, like Handel´s Messiah , Pergolessi´s Stabat Mater and Mozart´s Requiem and Mass in C moll .
Some of her projects in 2021 and 2022 are Zerbinetta of Ariadne auf Naxos in the Teatre del Liceu, Musetta of La Bohéme in Opera de Oviedo with a Emilio sagi production, Eurydice of Orphée aux enfers in Deutsche Oper am Rein, Frasquita in Carmen at Opernhaus Düsseldorf, Adina of L’elisisr d’amore at Theater Duisburg, Susanna of Le Nozze di Figaro at Teatro Real de Madrid, Marie of La Fille du regiment at Kursaal in San Sebastián, Adina of L’elisisr d’amore at Opernhaus Düsseldorf, Elisa of Mozart’s I Re Pastore in the Mozarteum of Salzburg,
Her recent and future engagements include Sophie of Der Rosenkavalier at La Monnaie in Brussels, Norina in Don Pasquale in Düsseldorf, Fiakermilli of Arabella at the Teatro Real de Madrid (jan. febr. 2023), and Marie of La fille du regiment at Theater Duisburg (jun-may 2023).
