Chloé Chaume Biography

Inspired by Mady Mesple, as a young child, Chloe began her music studies in Paris at the Hector Berlioz and Gabriel Faure conservatories, in the classes of Michèle Command, Pierre Catala, and Joelle Vautier.

She has performed in various Oratorios such as the Gabriel Faure’s Requiem in D Minor and the Christmas Oratorio of Saint-Saëns in Grâne and Buis-les-Baronnies (June 2011), and Brahms’ German Requiem at the Church of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul in Paris and in Villeron (June 2013).

Solicited in France to sing opera recitals, or French and German melodies, Chloe regularly performs in Saint-Benoit-du-Sault, at the Castle of Vallery, in France’s Burgundy region at the Castle of Bussy-Rabutin and in Tournus, at the Cultural Center of Provins, and at the Paris’ largest Cinema, Le Grand Rex, for the final concert of the Jules Verne Festival under the direction of John Scott.

In December 2011, she played the starring role of Helen (La Belle Hélène) at the Saint-Pierre Theatre of Neuilly. In Paris,   she played the role of Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte) (June 2012) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) (November 2014). In May 2013, she joined the Opera of Tours performing the roles of Thérèse de Lorget (L’Aiglon), Julia (Passionnément), Frasquita (Carmen), Suor Osmina (Suor Angelica), Nella (Gianni Schicchi) and Clorinda (La Cenerentola). She made her debut at the Capitole of Toulouse with Lauretta (Les Fiançailles au couvent) in may 2015, where she is invited again in December of the same year to perform in the Christmas concert (Solemn vespers of the Confessor of Mozart).

She sings under the direction of conductors such as Jean-Yves Ossonce, Emmanuel Trenque, Romain Dumas, John Scott, Tugan Sokhiev, Dominique Trottein in staged by Patrice Caurier and Moshe Leiser, Renée Auphan, Jacques Duparc, Gilles Bouillon, Paul-Emile Fourny, Martin Duncan, Jérôme Savary and Frédérique Lombart.

She recently participated in the International Academy of French Music with Michel Plasson where she received the advices of Sophie Koch, José van Dam, Michel Trempont, Emmanuel Plasson and Michel Plasson.
