Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1992, Néstor Galván began his studies of cello and singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Tenerife, where he graduated in June 2015 with the highest marks.
In relation to the operatic genre, Néstor Galván has acted as a solo singer in the Opera Lucía di Lammermoor, playing the role of Normanno for the representation of said opera at Teatro Guimerá, Tenerife, in 2013. In the same theater he played roles in Zarzuelas like La del Manojo de Rosas, where he put himself in Ricardo´s role in 2015, and Las de Caín, playing the role of Marín, in 2017.
He participated in La Bohème, performing Parpignol in 2014 at Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín. In 2016, he worked with Celso Albelo, tenor, in this theatre on the opera Werther playing the role of Brühlmann.
During the 2015/2016 season, he played the role of the Duke of Mantua in the opera Rigoletto for the show Malizia by Carmen Mota, at Pirámide de Arona, in the south of Tenerife. In the same year, he performed the aria Il Lamento di Federico at Teatro Leal, located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, at the performance and lyrical recital by Celso Albelo.
In 2016 he managed to be among the finalists of the Plácido Domingo Center for Perfection in Valencia.
In 2017 he participated in the Ópera en Familia project, Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín, allows him to face the challenge of playing three solo roles in the same play, performing the characters of Spalanzani, Pitichinaccio and Crespel in the opera Los Cuentos de Hoffmann.
In 2018 he played the role of Arturo for the opera Lucìa di Lammermoor at the Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín.
He played the role of the Prince of Persia in the Turandot opera in the 2018/2019 season of the Tenerife Opera.
In 2020 he was selected for the 2020/2021 season in the Opera Studio of the Opera National du Rhin, located in Strasbourg, France. In this context, he played the first Philistine at the opera Samson et Dalila in October 2020.
In November 2020, he played the role of Lenz in the Operetta Friederike, written by Franz Lèhar. In December of this same year he played the Witch from the opera Hansel et Gretel. In 2021 he played the role of Pierre in the opera Madame Chrysanthème.
Regarding his training, the tenor improved his vocal technique with singers such as the soprano Montserrat Caballé, the tenor Celso Albelo, and also being a pupil of Isabel Rey in the master class held at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, Madrid, in 2017. In the same year, he was at lessons with this soprano for the lyrical performance held at Auditorio de los Jameos del Agua, Lanzarote.
Next year, he was tought by the vocal coach Francesca Roig, in Barcelona, as well as master classes by the Italian tenor Piero Visconti, in Rome. During his training, he has also been in contact with the artists Raquel Lojendio, Ana María Sánchez, Isabel Penagos, Yolanda Auyanet and Manuel Cid.
He is currently working on his vocal technique with the vocal coach Juan Lomba, in Madrid.
